Section 070

Hello everyone!

This blog is part of the Ingl3103-080 section as the substitute for the Informative Essay assignment. I believed students could properly write an Informative assessment without having to resort to the conventional 5 paragraph essay.

Post on, and be as creative as you wish!

Easy Techniques For Germinating Plants

There are some techniques that we don’t know about, because we are far away from certain places in which these knowledges can’t be reached by going out and observing. But there is the technology that helps us get good information that can help you. For example, there are easier ways to solve problems at germinating or planting. Scientist and agencies of horticulture in Japan are working at an easier way or better ways to plant or protect the nature. There are two techniques that you can do in your home or in other places for a better planting or better results for your farm.
The first technique is about the seed-ball, called Fukuoka, initiated by Masabobu Fukuoka for his experiments, farming methods and experience. This seed-ball is very useful for all your problems during farming or germinating seeds. The seed-ball is a seed covered by compost and clay, with the size of a mandarin. So what this clay does is prevent those insects and birds that try to eat your seeds. Additionally, it also protects the seed from sunlight and heat. The seed starts germinating when it is soaked in of water by a rain event. For better results, add compost and a second/extra seed, one that is compatible to the first one. There we have a really good way or strategy to practice planting without farming issues. This is an old, but useful technique, furthermore, there has been a new invention to grow plants very easily at your own house.
The second technique is an invention made by the Dentsu Inc. Agency, from Japan.
This agency named Dentsu referrers to innovation, by that they affirm; By innovating we are not talking about just technological innovation. We mean reforming our organization and business model to create new socially significant value and drawing on new ideas that give form to our vision of being a business group that can help create brighter, happier future for society.(Dentsu Inc.)
This invention is a newspaper named “The Mainichi Shimbusha”, also called “The Green Newspaper”. This newspaper consists of recycled and vegetable paper with the purpose is of reading it and when you finish, tear it up in little pieces and plant it. “But the main purpose is to teach children the importance of recycling. There’s too, a way to reduce CO2 that is produce by the disposal systems.” (Seed-balls: From Fukuoka to Green Guerillas) That is a way to recycle. This are techniques; that we can use for our own benefit and easier way to plant. Thanks to these inventions we learn and help our world. With this, you can give birth to new plants to see and live in a greener and healthier world.

Ballart Pro-medical:

Dancing is an international way of expression. It is subdivided in many genres that are influenced by a cultural background, each representing a different region. Although dancing styles vary greatly, ballet is globally known as the base of all the types of dancing. "Ballet originated into the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century" (A Brief History of Ballet). Steps where taught to nobility, and the court participated in the performances. The French courts began to incorporate ballet in its courts, with Catherine de Medici's help (A Brief History of Ballet). As established on the educational piece of “A Brief history of Ballet”, she encourage the growth of "ballet de cuor" which was then popularized and standarized by King louis XIV. He had such and art for ballet that it fostered from being a pastime to and endeavor requiring a professional training.

As published on the official page of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater the article of “A Brief History of Ballet” is divided in three sections. These sections are: origins of ballet, the 19th century and ballet today. Among these sections the evolution of the perspective and style of ballet is shared. The first style of ballet that was developed was by Jean George Naverre during the mid 1700s. He believed that ballet should contain expressive, dramatic movements that should reveal the relationships between characters introduced as a dramatic style of ballet that conveys narrative (A Brief History of Ballet). The 19th century was the time period in which ballet was introduced as romantic ballet in Russia, what is known as classical ballet was established (A Brief History of Ballet). The main purpose of this style was to "display classical technique to the fullest". Now in the 20th century ballet is multi-faceted, "classical forms, traditional stories and contemporary choreographic innovations intertwine to produce the character of modern art" (A Brief History of Ballet). As you can see the different styles evolved respectively with the time periods in which the educational piece was divided. The art form of ballet has changed up continuously, but now all styles are used and even matched up with other dancing styles. By doing this the classical style has been changed up completely and have given dancing a different perspective breaking the classical movement and techniques.

As seen on the title of this blogpost “Ballart Pro-medical” it has a usual alteration of the word Ballet, also combined with medicine. This is because Ballet is an art form of dancing that has numerous medical benefits, specifically neurological, for the human body. This leads to the discoveries published by the Harvard neurological department of the effects of dancing on the brain. The effects of dancing on the brain are so beneficial that it is used to treat people with Parkinson’s disease, a progressive neurobiological movement disorder. "In a 2008 article in Scientific American magazine, a Columbia University neuroscientist posited that synchronizing music and movement—dance, essentially—constitutes a “pleasure double play.” Music stimulates the brain’s reward centers, while dance activates its sensory and motor circuits." (Dancing and the Brain). According to “Dancing and the Brain” it has been discovered that some brain regions are activated by dancing, but that the physical and expressive elements that are exposed thru dancing alter the brain function. This results in memory improvement to strengthened neuronal connections. Referring to the title again it can be reaffirmed that ballet is an art form that goes beyond what’s interpreted on stage by the audience. Every dancer while gracefully enjoying what they do is also exercising their body and stimulating the brain to a better development.

Basketball was created in 1891 by a professor of the Springfield university, James Smith. It came like an answer of the necessity to create some sport activity during winter. Smith ask for boxes but he only got some baskets and he put it on the railings. Basketball became an Olympic sport in 1936 and the girls in 1976. The three-point line became to the NBA in the season of 1979-80.

RULES

About rules, basketball started with 13 rules, but time passed and now it has 24 official rules. The most five important rules are: 1- the teams suppose to have 12-15 players which only 5 of them can play at the court. 2- If a player stays at the service line 5 seconds the ball will be given to the other team. 3- The player can only touch the ball with the hands. 4- If a player gives 5 fouls, he will not play the rest of the game, in the NBA the player can give 6 fouls. 5- If a player receives the ball and he lift both feet, the referee will call “running”.
